[[From El Chaltén and it's Mount Fitz Roy, which offered probably the most spectacular views so far, we quickly made it to our next stop: El Calafate. Mesto samotné ako také nie je veľmi zaujímavé, slúži hlavne ako vstupná brána na neďalekú atrakciu, ktorá je takmer povinnou zastávkou na ceste Patagóniou: ľadovec Perito Moreno.]]

Wow.///Sme práve v južnej časti národného parku Los Glacieres, kde sa nachádza spomínaný Perito Moreno - jeho najznámejší ľadovec. Je neuveriteľne veľký - 35km dlhý, 5 kilometrov široký a 74m vysoký(+ ďalších asi 170m pod vodou)! Viete si to predstaviť? Mne to vopred veľmi nešlo :) Pre lepšiu predstavu, aké neskutočné množstvo ľadu to je, spomeniem iba jeden fakt: je to tretia najväčšia zásoba pitnej vody na svete. Wow.]]

Môžete si užiť prechádzky po rôznych platformách a výhľady z množstva terás... a napäto čakať, či vám bude priať štastie a uvidíte spomínané padajúce kusy ľadu.]]

Mostly, you'll only hear them though, as the ice is also cracking inside the glacierm but you can still just stand and watch the magnificent glacier, awestruck. Povačšine to ale budete iba počuť, lebo ľadovec praská aj vo svojom vnútri. :) Napriek tomu je ale zážitok len tak stáť a v nemom úžase sledovať ľadovec. Jeho majestátnosť, rôzne tvary, to ako je umiestnený medzi horami. A tie farby... od bielej, cez svetlo modrú až po neuveriteľne krásnu tmavú modrú na miestach, kde je veľký tlak a nedostatok kyslíku (pre geekov, Tomáš to presne pomenoval Lich King blue :) ) ]]

Z jednej strany je trochu "špinavý" od zeme a prachu, pravdepodobne vďaka silnému vetru.]]

And we could see many of smaller pieces of ice next to it as well.///Už keď sme boli takmer na odchode, sklamaní, že sme nevideli padať žiadny ľad - sme to začuli. Neuveriteľný hluk ako keď zahrmí. Rýchlo sme sa otočili a konečne to zbadali - obrovské kusy ľadu na druhej strane ľadovca ako padajú do vody. :) V jazere je tiež možné pozorovať ľadové kryhy plávajúce popri jeho stene. ]]

The season for that is from August to middle June and you'll pay around 120 USD per person for 1.5 hour hike. Sezóna je od augusta do polky júna a cena približne 120 dolárov za osobu a cca 1.5 hodinovú túru. Aj keď to znelo veľmi lákavo, predsa len cestujeme dlhodobo, tak sme sa rozhodli to vynechať (a šetriť na galapágy :) ). Ak by ste to ale vyskúšali, dajte nám vedieť aké to bolo :)]]
